Extinctium offers the Inertium range, a solution based on IG55*, a colourless, odourless gas which is environmentally friendly and harmless to humans. This A2P certified solution includes a regulated valve and acts on fire by suppressing the flames and reducing the quantity of oxygen in the air whilst maintaining a breathable atmosphere. The inert gas ensures equipment integrity and is the most versatile solution, given the multiple risks requiring protection.
* Other inert gases like IG100, IG01 and IG541 are also available.
Using CO2 as an extinguishing agent is a fast and extremely effective solution for fighting fire but is dangerous to humans.
CO2 extinguishes fire by lowering the concentration of oxygen in the surrounding air, thereby suppressing the flames. This solution is ideal for protecting objects in spaces not occupied by people.
Inhibiting gases are stored in a liquid state in tanks and evaporate in the protected room when diffused. The fire is extinguished by the absorption of the flames’ energy. This solution is ideal for all applications involving limited space.
Various extinguishing agents are available: FK-512, HFC-227ea* and HFC-23*.
* Compliant with European regulation.
